DERYA DURMAZ
Derya Durmaz is a writer - director - actress and producer. Under the CUBU Film brand, she co-produced her own award winning short films ZIAZAN (Mo&Friese Children's Short Film Festival Friese Award winner, opening film of Tokyo Kinder Film Festival) and MOTHER VIRGIN NO MORE (Gri Bölge - which premiered at the Berlinale Generations), produced her short films LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! (Queer Shorts Vienna, Best Queer Art & Experimental Short Award), WILL YOU COME WITH ME? (Winner of 7 awards, including Kaboom Animation Festival Best Documentary Award), CIRCUMCISION and CONFINED and Andreas Flack's short films AKIKO, THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT AND TOUT VA BIEN.
In 2021 and 2022, she wrote - directed - performed and produced the interdisciplinary performance projects THE FALLEN GENDER and DDS! Discipline, Dominance, Submission, funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media Neustart Kultur Stepping Out Programme and BBK Bundesverband (Federal Association of Visual Artists) "Innovative Arts Project Fund”.
ANDREAS FLACK
Andreas Flack is a collaborator of Cubu Film. He is a Berlin based director - editor who studied Theater, Political Science, IT and Film Studies. Among his short films are THERE'S AN APP FOR THAT which competed in festivals such as Fantasporto Porto International Film Festival, AKIKO which competed in festivals such as Tuzla International Film Festival and MICMX IFF Mexico, TERMINAL which participated in the Tampere Film Festival and MORDECHAI which competed at film festivals such as Near Nazareth Festival and Big Bear Film Summit. He also is a coder who established his own IT company while he was studying at university.
